The 2007 Student Handbook will be mailed to accepted COSMOS students in late June.

HOUSING AND MEALS
Students will live in the Cuarto Area Residence Hall complex located in the northwest corner of the UC Davis campus. Residence hall meals are served cafeteria-style, three times a day. A varied selection of food items is available at all meals, such as salad bars, fresh fruit, make-your-own sandwiches, AND ice cream every day!
RESIDENTIAL HALL ACTIVITIES
Each week night, the residential advisors organize and help conduct activities in the residence halls. These may include scavenger hunts, "dorm" Olympics, and ice cream socials. In addition, there will be weekend trips to local sites of interest. Examples include a lunch cruise and afternoon at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco, an excursion to Golfland Sunsplash , and a day at Discovery Kingdom . COSMOS employs a staff of 18 undergraduate students as Residential Advisors (RAs) who live in the dorms with the students. The primary responsibilities of the RAs are to enforce the program rules, organize extra-curricular activities, and accompany students to class and on field trips. Two RAs are assigned to each cluster and remain with the group of students throughout the four weeks. The RA staff is supervised by two Senior Resident Advisors (SRAs). SRAs are typically undergraduate students who have served as a COSMOS RA during a previous program.
